Invites Outer addressing help

Invites Outer addressing help

I'm not using inner envelopes. The company I used for my invitations, pocketfolds only fit in outer envelopes. Here is my question:

When addressing to someone who can bring a guest, which should it look like:

Mr. John Smith & guest

or

Mr. John Smith & Guest

Is the 'g' in guest supposed to be lower or uppercase?

Thanks in advanced!

I just looked at 4 different sites; All have guest with a lower case g.

ETA: 'and' is supposed to be spelled out. Don't use the ampersand on the outer envelope.

I personally don't think it's necessary to address a guest.

We Are inviting a majority of our guests with a +1, almost all of them, actually, but unless the couple lives together and we know both ofthem, were just assessing the invite to the 'main' person, and writing
'2 seats have Been reserved in your honor' on the RSVP card.

Write out 'and', G is capital.

I WOULD write guest. You would think if you're putting this on the rsvp card it's clear, but it might not be.

I STILL have not recevied a response from ym first cousin. I didn't put any guests on the outer envelope, and so he's CONVINCED his kids were not invited to the wedding although they were CLEARLY listed on the inner envelope My uncle said he probably didn't bother to open the invitation

I feel like it would look funny if the g was lower case....

I can't do that on my RSVP cards since they are already made but thanks for the idea.
