You should send out STD cards to your OOT guest to give them a heads up. As for the invites, it's usually 6-8 weeks before your wedding. Give like 1 and half week before your wedding day as the deadline for the RSVP's...

I sent my 8 weeks before the wedding. Im getting married June 23 and I sent them out April 20th

we did about 4 weeks, but its up to you really. i would say 6 weeks is good, it gives you extra time to get the late people to send theres....i dont get why they cant check yes or no and mail it back. i mean we even give them the stamp!!

I would give more like a month before the wedding date as the RSVP date - you're going to have to track people down unfortunately.
I think a good rule of thumb is to send the invites 8 weeks before the wedding with the RSVP date 4 weeks before the wedding. (Many people send their invites earlier, though)
We'll send ours the first week in June. Our RSVP date is July 7th. Our wedding is August 11.

My wedding is 7/27, RSVP date is 6/22, and I'm mailing invites out next week (hopefully by 5/9). I think at least a month before for the RSVP date. And usually I think mail out invites 8-12 weeks before the wedding.

My wedding is 7/7/07 and RSVP date is 6/1/07. I only have 2 out of town guests (they are my college friends who moved away) but their family is local. They already told me last year that they are coming. If you have a lot of out of town guest, I would suggest sending out STD. If you want to save money, I would suggest sending out the invitation at least 7 - 8 weeks in advance for your OOT guests.

I sent mine out yesterday! 10 weeks before, only because a lot of people have parties to go to in the summer.
As for the RSVP we made it for 1month before the wedding
