Invites when?

When do you send out invites? How long before thw edding do you have the RSVP date? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanx!

I think around 8-10 weeks before.

I am sending them out at the 11 week mark and my RSVP date is 5 weeks before the wedding.

I'm sending them out at the 3 month mark and my RSVP date is 6 weeks before the wedding.

Invites when?

Just sent ours out today (we were shooting for 11/1 but were set back by the hurricane etc). Our RSVP date is 12/14 due to Christmas and New Years (we didn't want to make it towards the end of the month and have the responses get lost etc). Our wedding is 1/20/13.

rule of thumb in 8 weeks, with rsvp date 4 weeks before. but if you having a 'B' list, then send them 10-12 weeks before.

This! I feel like sending them out too early could cause people to feel like they have 'time' to RSVP and eventually forget to send it back.
