I have 250 on my guest list. I guaranteed 200 for the reception. Approx how many invites do you think I will need? I invited almost everyone with a guest.
Especially ladies with the same number of guests as me.. how many invited did you need??

Edit: I don't know if I didn't word it right... I already did my guarantee... i need to know approx how many invites are typical for an approx 250 guest list.

250 is cutting it close but you need to run down your list and see who you think will say no - if you don't think you will have to many nos you should be fine

we just counted..i made out a guest list with everyone on it,then just counted between the people how many invites i needed

we have 277 on our guest list right now (gasp) with a guarantee of 150.
We also invited almost everyone with a guest. We ordered 150 invitations....

I answered you on BHB, but in case you don't see, I think it depends on your A list and B list numbers, if you have a B list even, the likelihood of even having to spill in to your B list, and how many of these 250 people are couples vs. family units.
For example, our A list is 168 I believe, and we ordered 100 invitations. Only 75 are being used for the A list, and the remaining more than cover the B list, and if we have to start inviting hobos off the street to meet our 125 minimum lol.
ETA: duh, would help if i remembered to repeat my actual ANSWER. I think 125 invites.

oh you were talking about invitations well i have 197 on my list right now and need 96 invites so you have to figure it is like half

She *should*...BUT since you are kinda cutting it close now, if you had her do your entire run, and then went back to her after you receive them and ran out lets say and go OMG I need 25 more....I would venture to guess that you would have to pay DEARLY for it with rush charges and expedited shipping. So my advice would be if you think you might need more with 150, order more right off the bat. Better to have some left over than not enough to begin with.

I had a guest list of 272 and I ordered 150 invites.. I had about 7 left over which is perfect because I can give an extra to my parents, put one in a scrapbook, frame, etc...

I'm inviting 180, also all with guests except for 2 that requested NOT to be invites with guests... , anyway so I neede about 90 invitations. I ordered 100 just in case something gets lost in the mail or I have a moment of weekness and decide to add a couple more guests... I guess it depends if you will be doing a 'B' list or not, we are not, we're actually praying for 'No's' LOL.

Yes, she could make more, however, you would more than likely have to pay rush fees and higher materials fees for the additional order. Since she will only be ordering a small amount of supplies for the second order the bulk discount that she gets will probably be as high, therefore, resulting in higher materials costs. She pretty much told me that I was better off ordering a few extra off the bat then waiting. HTH
