Invites with no inner envelopes

Invites with no inner envelopes

How do I address the outer envelopes to reflect who is invited?

If children are invited do you put 'Mr. and Mrs. X and family' or do you write everyone out.

I would just write...

The so and so family.

Thats how I did it.

In our circle 'and family' means everyone and their momma

I am having them done like this:

Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
Kate and Robert Smith <-- kids names
123 Main Street
City, State 11111

Edited for spelling.

I only ordered inner envelopes for those people that were 'and guest'. For families, I put the kids' names on the outer envelope under the parents.

Good idea, if you think people will take it that way--spell EVERYTHING out.

I did:

Mr. & Mrs. John Smith
Mary

I included the first names of the children on a separate line under the parents' names.
Keep in mind: Proper etiquette dictates children 18 or over living at home receive their own invite...

(Though my relatives never applied that to me when I was younger....).
