OK, so I went to look at invites yesterday.. I liked the first ones I saw..which is so UNLIKE me! Mom's traditional, I'm a bit funky, so this is a comprimise of both!!! What do you think????They are ecru, and I will be attaching a pre-made bow to the top.
Those are very pretty - I wish we could decide on ANY invitation Maybe soon..........

I agree. They are pretty, but seem very plain.

we chose the same invites but in a 7X7 square! We've received nothing but wonderful comments about them :)
We didn't do a bow at the top, instead we did a vellum wrap and then ties that with a bow.
There doesn't need to be some 'design' or flowery-patern, or other such things to make them unique and lovely! These are elegant and beauitful in their own right.
But, hey, what do I know... I LOVE them

Hmm..well ok now I am second guessing. I meant that mom was pushing for the traditional ecru, black print raised edge rectangle a la Crane's. These are close to that but have a rough edge with a shimmery border and with the bow they are a mix between super traditional and my taste.....

I like them - Mine are similar - they have the rough edge, but are not shimmery. - We added a monogram to the top. - But I like things VERY plain. - My friend did those invites in a long slender card w/ a bow and although I am not a fan of bows, they came out really beautiful -

Believe it or not I was looking at those too. (are we having similar weddings or what) I decided against them because after I did a proof online, they were very plain. The actual writing is close to the middle leaving a lot of blankness. JMO.

Hmm.thanks for that tip. Maybe with the bow it will offset that a little..... I guess after all I can't stray too much from the traditional, as much as I say i want funky.... (and speaking of similar weddings, I saw your 'sweet treat' favor tag ideas...which, even tho it didnt get votes, was something like I was going to use for my candy jars!! )
