Inviting Co-workers

How many of you are inviting co-workers to your wedding? If you are how are you going about choosing which you will invite and which you won't? I think I know who I want to invite but then you wonder about the people you aren't inviting and how they will feel.

I know this is going to cause SUCH drama for me... I think I'm going to have to put them all on my B list and see how many yeses we get.

There are about 100 staff in my building and since I'm the Office Manager I'm friendly with a lot of them... so I feel like it's hard to pick and choose who I should and shouldn't invite!

my company is small, like 5 people so everyone will be invited.

I'm inviting my boss and luckily I only work directly with two other women so they are definite invites!! I also am close with two of the girls outside my direct office so they are definites as well as their husband/fiance. As for everyone else, I just hope they understand that I can't invite everyone......we'll see how that goes once it gets closer!

I am inviting my direct group only... thats 3 ppl, plus i am inviting them with a guest cause they are all married so I think its just polite. I dunno..I have others at work I would want to invite but then it would be too much so I am just saying direct group so they cant get mad

Re: Inviting Co-workers

this is a sticky subject for me ... most of my coworkers are fakes asses and I dont know if I want to invite them ... they didnt even care about my personal life until I got engaged and even now they dont ask me about the wedding unless there is a get together of a group of people ... well I work on a team with 8 people, which means that I would have to invite 16 cause of their guests .. thats alot of people to pay for that I dont even like, so its either invite all or invite none ... I will have to see how my budget goes before I decide though

I had this problem with the eparty. I was just going to invite some. But I would then have to keep quite from other ppl.
So then I just decided I'll invite everyone(i'm in a small office) and if they came they came.....
So I'm going to do the same......I already put them in guest list from the beginning....

FH is inviting his group, it's 6 people with guests, and my office has like 5 people, so thats only 10...2 tables is PERFECT, not too many but we love them and see them all the time, I'm excited!!!!!!!!

Re: Inviting Co-workers

My department is 50 people so there is no way I can invite all of them. I am so torn what to do because originally I was just going to invite my boss and that's it. Since then, I was promoted and now I have a different boss...I wouldn't normall invite this person but if I invite my old boss I would have to invite her. I am thinking about not inviting anyone and just calling it a day!

Re: Inviting Co-workers

I'm only inviting the 4 partners I work for and the few people I socialize with outside of the office.

I work in a relatively small office (20 people) but still that would be 40 people with guests. FH is only inviting the people he works with who he socializes with also. I'm sure people understand - weddings are expensive!

I plan on just inviting my 2 bosses and the other 2 girls in the office( I feel bad not). So basically I will invite 4 people with their husbands. So 8 in total if they all came.

Re: Inviting Co-workers

I figured since a wedding is a social event, I would invite only those co-workers with whom I socialize. So I invited 4 woman that I go out with after work and my immediate boss.

No one had any issues (or at least I didn't hear anything bad about it).
