We are inviting the officiant to our reception. Should we send him an invitation? I am trying to figure out our 'ammended' invite budget?!

I just didn't know if I needed to send him one because we are getting married at the RH.

Re: Inviting Officiant
if you are wanting him to stay for the reception--yeah totally send him an invite!
my friend did this--and the priest came to the reception and even did a blessing after the first dance before the appetizer.

I was wanting to send our priest an invitation - but where do you mail it? I know the priest in our church have a house - should i just send the invite to the rectory?

Re: Inviting Officiant
yes, you send him/her a formal invitations. It is also appropriate to invite them to the RD if you are actually rehearsing.

Re: Inviting Officiant
We are having an interfaith ceremony at our RH and were told by many people (former brides as well) that it is appropriate to send them formal invitations just like any other guest. We have a priest and a rabbi that we have no prior history with other than marrying us that night btu we're still inviting them. We were told though that they usually they don't accept and just hang around for a bit at the cocktail hour.....we're hoping this rings true for us.
