We are inviting 20 people from Ireland and I am unsure on some things.
Do I stamp airmail on the Invitation envelope?
Do I include a USPS stamp on the response envelope? My FI said we should leave it empty since they can only use Irish stamps on their mail.
I am stumped.
Thanks!

Re: Inviting people from other countries??
your FI is right. they would have to use their own counries stamps for the RSVP.
the PO stamps them air mail for you

Re: Inviting people from other countries??
We had guests from Israel and Austraila We didn't have to stamp airmail on the envelope. We just had to put extra postage on. And NO stamp on the RSVP. They have to use their own county's postage.

We are inviting lots of people from Ireland to :) You don't have to stamp airmail and they will have to pay for their own return envelopes unless you have someone mail stamps to you.
Good Luck

Re: Inviting people from other countries??
We invited people from Greece and Uruguay. I didn't not include a RSVP. I just mentioned to these people that they should call my MIL or mom to let us know if they were coming. As for mailing the invites out, I went to the post office and had them stamp those with the appropriate amount/stamps.

that's what i'm gonna do. we're gonna be inviting my father's side of the family from peru. it's just a gesture really cause i know they won't be able to understand the invite as it will be in english--and we know they are coming since we'll be paying for their hotel stay.

Do you have anyone over there who could send you stamps? We're having FH's dad send us the appropriate Canadian stamps for their RSVPs. I don't think it's a big deal if you leave them blank, I just don't want to encourage them not to respond or to take a long time.
I was going to suggest this. Also the post office will stamp airmail on the envelope you just have to write the address and include the country at the bottom underneath town and county.

I've been wondering the same thing! We're inviting someone from England and I've been wondering what to do for the invite and RSVP. Thanks for this info ...

Re: Inviting people from other countries??
We are inviting a lot of ppl from Ireland and England - about 40 invitations!!! Most will be not come so it's a courtesy. From past experience, Irish ppl (well at least my family) are known not to send back RSVP's so FH and I are actually going to send the international invitations out six months before the wedding w/a different RSVP date. We will have ample time to hear from them and call them all to see if they are coming before we start sending out the USA invitations.
I plan on having family members send me stamps for the RSVP cards - even more less likely that they will send it back if they have to put a stamp on it!!
