Good morning everyone - How many people are inviting work people? I work for a small company, so if I invited anyone, I'd probably have to invite all, which with spouses would be 12! (we are having around 75 people).

Re: Inviting people from work?
i am only inviting one person, she is the only person i'm really close to. she actually just left the job to go to another job but we are going to remain friends. I am not even inviting my boss my list is big enough. i plan on leaving my job after i get married though because i'm moving. you shouldn't feel obligated to invite people u barely know, just invite the ones your close too.

Re: Inviting people from work?
I invited my boss, her assistant, and my then-coworker. None attended. Only 1 sent in the RSVP. I wish I wouldn't have invited any of them, to be honest. But, at the time, it seemed like the right thing to do.

Re: Inviting people from work?
As of now I am inviting my 2 close friends with that I hang out with outside of work. I am deciding if I should invite my director. Everyone else in my dept. invited her to their wedding, but I am still debating.

Re: Inviting people from work?
Since I've been engaged I have been at three places...the first I was at well before the engagement but didn't invite anyone from there (don't really talk to anyone anymore), the second job I was only at for 5 months but became really close with those people so I invited them, the current job - I've only been here 3 months so no invites to anyone. It is a hard decision to make.

Re: Inviting people from work?
With all the phony people in my job, I'm still being the polite person I am and inviting all. Out of approximately 15 people only 2 came to my engagement party. Excuse....It was too far. My wedding is going to be in Long Island too and if they couldn't make it to my engagement party how are they going to make it for my wedding? I might just leave 8 available spots for work. First RSVP, First Come basis. I don't want to lose money over no shows

Re: Inviting people from work?
I was going to invite all the people on my floor (about 14 plus spouses). Then I learned that the bosses are all leaving for the west coast that day for 10 days of meetings. My boss is staying in town to come to the wedding and leaving the day after. We're all very close and get on great so I was disappointed that the others won't be there. Now it'll just be my boss and the assistants and their partners - a total of 10.

Re: Inviting people from work?
I am in the same situation - i work in a small office w/six women - all very nice. if i invite them all, then i'll have to invite them with a guest = 12 people. I am still on the fence about what to do, I am opting toward just inviting all with a guest. I have been here for only 1 year but think I'll be here for a bit after. I just don't want to make an uncomfortable situation for myself. Ughhh, i hate this!!

Re: Inviting people from work?
We work for the same company so this is a lil weird. We can't invite everyone and we don't even like most of them!! So we're inviting our CEO, our CFO, and my direct supervisor. That's it!!!

Re: Inviting people from work?
I don't even like being in the same room with the people I work with... I couldn't imagine having them contaminating my wedding day.
I am inviting people who quit my firm... hmmmm

Re: Inviting people from work?
I only invited those that I work directly with. I work in a small office, so there are 4 men and their wives that were invited. The other people who work here, are in the field all the time and I couldn't pick and choose which of them I wanted, so I invited none of them. It was the easiest solution for us.

Re: Inviting people from work?
I only invited 3 of my co-workers, and none of them work in my same office. We work together on a bunch of committees and special projects. They are really the only people I consider friends at work. I didn't even invite the partners I work for.
I would have invited one more person from work but she is getting married the day before me!
