Re: inviting priest
I am not planning on inviting the priest. I haven't even met him yet.

Re: inviting priest
I plan on inviting mine since my family goes regularly to church and we all know him (and he has already married people in my family)
I can tell you I have read etiqutte wise that you are supposed to invite them - but MANY will politely decline - b/c then they would be at wedding almost every weekend depending on how many people your church marries. If they come they usually stay for the meal and not much else. I will say every wedding I have attended they have been there - but these are peoples home churches so that might have something to do with it

Re: inviting priest
I'm inviting the Decon that is marring us and his family , because they are friend of ours! If u are close to the priest or decon that is marring u its nice to invite them to the wedding, they also can do a prayer for u in the begining of the reception!

Re: inviting priest
I invited our priest to our reception, but I didn't expect him to come (and he didn't).
I think its just a gesture, more than an actual invite/expectation (unless you're close).

Re: inviting priest
I agree with LisaT - I invited my priest but he is not coming. It's just a nice polite gesture.
