I have read and heard that it is the proper thing to do to invite your priest to the reception and I'd like to do so. We have belonged to this same parish since toddlers and although we ado not have a 'relationship' with the priest marrying us I think its right for us to invite him...but my question is this...
how do I address the envelope? He is a Reverend/Pastor at the church...

I have no clue...should he get a guest?

From the Knot Book - it says
The Revered, . . unless it is Roman Catholic where it is father. I do not think you need to include a guest.

If that's Father Tom Harold from Holy Name of Mary... then it's 'Monsignor Thomas Harold' lol (or Msgr. Thomas Harold) - are you getting married there?
* Edited because I saw your profile, and see you are getting married there too! You also got engaged on my birthday, small world. Anyway, he was named a Monsignor over the last few years, I still call him Father Tom because I always did but his title is Msgr. So that's how you should mail the invite, I am inviting him to mine as well but he's a family friend too, that's why I'm so glad he's marrying us. He will do a great job with your wedding! (Are you going to the fall pre-cana by any chance? I was supposed to but I think I'm rescheduling it.)

Hi! Thanks for the help! he really is so great. i went to high school with his niece kim too...lol he really us a great guy. As for pre-cana..yes..we start in October..the 9th I think..at holy name!
