I know I have got time but this is really bothering me.
I plan on inviting only 2 of the women in my department-there are 7 of us total. I hang out with these women outside of work and we have become pretty close. Im not sure how to go about inviting them, and not the others. It will be obvious that the 2 have been invited as we are getting married on LI but dont live there any longer so they wont be at work. I certainly dont want to hurt anyones feelings.........
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Inviting some Co-workers and not others
I decided to invite only my team which is roughly i think 6-7 people out of like 30 people from our department. I thought that would be a little bit more understandable bc you gotta cut the list somewhere.

Re: Inviting some Co-workers and not others
Because of my position at work, I work with so many different people but I only plan on inviting 5 people from work with their spouses. Everyone has to understand that you have to draw the line somewhere.

yeah i'm having that problem as well. There are a couple of people that I think are assuming they will be invited and they aren't going to be. It should be interesting, but I hope they will understand.

Re: Inviting some Co-workers and not others
I am inviting my 2 assistants plus the people that I am close with at work. People have had events from work and not invited everyone so I am not going to feel bad, plus they will understand.

Re: Inviting some Co-workers and not others
I'm having the same dilema! I work in a hair salon only 4 hours a week ( because I have to student teach all day and I have classes at night) But I've been working there for almost 7 years and I'm pretty close with alot of the girls. What I plan on doing is inviting all of my coworkers (16 people) and not there spouses. If I invite them with spouses thats 32 people and FH are only allowing each other to invite 50 people each to keep the cost down. I feel if they don't want to come without there spouses they don't have to come at all.

I'm only inviting the group of girls that I go out with outside of work (and that's about 5 girls).

Re: Inviting some Co-workers and not others
i think there just has to be a really clear dividing line, and choosing two people whom you see outside of work, assuming you don't make plans with the others, is a good one to use.

Re: Inviting some Co-workers and not others
Im in the same situation... I love two of the women and there are 7 of them total.... There is NO way for me to invite more than the two of them...They both have already said that they will travel to florida because im like a daughter to them... I am not at all sure that the others would even come to the e-party...HOWEVER... if i dont invite them..drama drama on the floor....
so i think what im trying to say, is that I am only going to invite the two and thats it.....
