Need help! Just started a new job in late April and I'm getting married in October...do I have to invite my bosses (president, vp, and other managers) Or do you think they'll understand and PREFER to not be invited to really, a stranger's wedding..
Please help!!!!

it depends on how many people from work you do plan on inviting....if its only 2 or 3 people...then no you dont need to invite the boss...but if its 10 people then maybe you should extend the invite. I invited my bosses...but Im pretty sure that 2 of them won't come...its more a polite curtisey invite.

I invited a few people from work and have only worked with my boss for about six months but I HATE my boss. I didn't feel badly about it in the slightest. I think you have been working with them for such a short time it doesn't matter.

In the next 2 months you will get a more clear idea of what to do...this is probably not a decision you can make this early.

I been at my job for about 8 months, 10 by the time of the wedding. I really like the people, have gotten close with a few. I do not like my boss. I had planned on invitng 10 people, but if i invited that many then i had to invite my boss. After thinking about it decided to invite him. I pray he says no but at least I wont make any hard feelings. People get weird like that. I didnt follow the manager rule thing, there are alot of managers and 2 of them I dont really speak to so I invited who i wanted and if they were a manager so be it.

I'm in the same boat - I've been at the company 10 years, but at the time of my wedding, only working for this boss one year. I really don't want to invite him, but he is the type who would hold a grudge if I didn't...so I'm going to invite him & hope he says no.

I've been at my job for a long time and I actually have 2 bosses since I work in 2 departments. I invited the one and didn't invite the other since I'm not fond of the one.

I've had a couple of bosses in my two years at my current job. I invited the first one (even though she is no longer here) because we're very close. The second I chose not to invite...not so close to her.

I have a few bosses, but I only want to invite one of them - I'm afraid that if I invite her then I will have to invite all the junior people beneath her too. Dont' know what to do yet...will have to think about it more
