YES -- we have the one with germicidal protection from Sharper Image and WE LOVE IT.

We actually got ours through a Sharper Image auction store on eBay and it was seriously some of the best money we've ever spent! I can't say enough great things about it - ours has the germicaidal ultra-vioolet light too. It just makes the air in our house so much nicer, esp. since DH is a SMOKER, and so are all our friends! In the past, we've spent a lot of money on air fresheners and those new fan plug-ins just to minimize the smoke smell. I'm not a smoker and I hate having my things smell like that, so I was a big advocate of incense, candles, and Febreeze! The ionic purifiers are the BEST though, even though it is a lot, I'm sure it's less than all the other 'freshener' products we've bought in the past! Check out eBay, they have a LOT there for lower prices than you would find at retail stores. It's a good investment!

We love ours. I'm allergic to dust & dust mites. I don't wake up with a stuffy nose or sinus headaches anymore. ![]()
Oh and we have black furniture in the living room- we don't have to CONSTANTLY dust anymore!

glad it was helpful for you! Just a note though, I think the reason why they are so cheap is because most of them are factory refurbished. It's basically new anyway, I think just some parts were replaced or something like that. Regardless, they run GREAT and you'll love it :)
