I have the canon sure shot and have been really happy with it until it died this week but hopefully they will fix it for me...they run in the 300s though

I would stay away from apple...and find something compatible with both macs and pcs (you never know if you will want to download it somewhere else)

The iPod is the MOST amazing piece of technology you will EVER own. It is compatible with PCs by the way- as long as you have windows 2000, ME, XP... (check the site).

I am not sure how much they are, but if you go to Roosevelt field, I think they have an apple store- and you can check it out there.

It is truly AMAZING.. I have the 20 meg version and it holds SO many songs- it's PERFECT for my commute on the train.

FM me if you want info.

I want an ipod so bad but they are SO expensive. =(

One day maybe I'll bid on one on e-bay.

I think there's other mp3 players out there (Rio for one) that are cheaper.

Check cnet.com - they give good and unbiased reviews, with prices.

The IPOD is nice but it is expensive.

I have a creative Jukebox 10gb MP3 player. I can store over 250Cd's in it. It looks just like a cd player, but it doesnt open....It is an awesome easy to use player.

As far as digital cameras go...I recommend Kodak. I have a DX3700 with the dock. I paid $199 for the camera last year and $80 for the dock. My camera has 3.1mega pixels, and 3X zoom.

It is a very easy to use Camera, and the dock helps with charging the rechargeable batteries and also makes it very eaasy to upload pictures.

My camera has been discontinued but there are many new Kodak Easy Share Digital Cameras on the market.

Check out:Kodak
Tiger Direct This is where i purchased my camera from.
Also look into:
Eopinions for reviews on the cameras.

The reason why it is so expensive is that it doubles as a hard drive- so you can put documents on it, you can put photos on it (say you are on vacation you can actually load your pictures onto it to free up your memory)... 20 GB is a LOT of memory... it's very versatile.

As most everyone said already, the iPod is AMAZING! I believe they are coming out with - or have already done so - a PC compatible iPod...so you can use it whether you have an Apple or not. Expensive, but worth it, imo.

We have the Canon PowerShot digital...they've since upgraded the model we have (we got it about 3 years ago) but it is pricier than what you are looking to spend. I don't think you can go wrong with Canon or Sony - any of the point and click (smaller ones) would be fine. IMO, you just want to get the highest pixilation you can for your money.

huh...i didn't realize that about ipod...I still stay away from apple...it is usually hanging on by a thread...but I guess most tech companies are...

I have a rio...and you can get memory cards that hold more than what it is sold with...

my first was a sony...but it held nothing...and it wasn't upgradable...
