We're going to Dublin for the first few days of our honeymoon. We're staying in the Temple Bar area. The first hotel that my travel agent recommended was a Holiday Inn in Dublin but I don't know the breakdown of pricing. We decided to stay at the Hotel Gresham in Dublin. Good luck to you!

thanks! Are you taking your honeymoon in August or are you waiting? I've been looking at the weather and all of Europe is pretty cold during Jan. and Feb. but those are the only times we can go.

Re: Ireland honeymoon

going to our hm in ireland in two weeks!!!! We are doing dublin and galway.

There are escorted tours that will drive you everywhere and have everything included BUT you wake up early and typically go to bed early and don't have much free time but you see everything! That is CIE tours.

I would check out their site anyway and see where they bring you to see all the good tourist spots to check out.

DH and i are just doing our own thing. We flight into dublin and stay at Conrad Dublin near st. stephen's green/trinity college. Its near a great spot of stores/pubs/etc. But not so hard to get to the temple bar district which can be pricier to stay right in. We only book flight and hotels with breakfast included. Everything else is on our own. They have shuttles from the airport to drop you off around the main hotel areas for $15 us dollars. Then we tour the city doing the cool spots we want to do (ghost tour on the river/bus tour of the city on one of those sight seeing buses that are stupid but you get to see a lot on/guinness brew/etc) 5 nights

Then take a train to galway to hop on a bus to clifden to stay at Abbeyglen Castle Hotel for two nights and then take the bus back to galway to stay at Park House Hotel for 2 nights then get back on a train to go back to dublin to fly out (couldn't fly out of shandon for some odd reason that day).

I will be writing a review during the trip and of course adding it to my wedding review with pics probably with in a week of me getting back if you want to wait but since your getting close you might not want too.

We're going in August...he's a teacher so that's why we're getting married in the summer and going on our hm then. When we get back, we'll both start new jobs. Weather will be pretty similar to here from what I've heard and I'm really excited to go. We're going to Dublin for 4 days doing our own thing and then flying to Paris for a week and a half. I can't even wait for this trip!!!! Good luck with your plans!
