Irish bride-Catholic ceremony

Hi girls! Im from Ireland but would love to get married in NY. All of the wedding planners sites that i have been on only offer ceremonies in Central Park, Empire State building etc. Problem is that i am Cathoic and i know my Mum would want me to get married in a catholic church. Would this be possible for me as an Irish resident??

I think what you can do is call the Archdiocese of NY, I don't think it would be a problem, they just charge you a higher fee if you are non a member of a particular church.

They might be able to help you pick a church in Manhattan to get married in and then give you the phone number to contact them directly.

Here is the contact info for the Archdiocese:
Family Life / Respect Life
1011 First Ave
Floor: 7
New York , NY 10022
Contact: Sr. Mary E. Wusinich, SV
Phone: 212-371-1011 Ext. 3186
Email: [email protected]
Web Site: www.flrl.org

here is the link to all the Catholic churches in Manhattan as well

Good Luck!

as long as you meet the church's requirements (baptism, confirmation, pre-cana, etc) and are willing to pay the extra fee charged for being out of parish, you can get married in a catholic church
