Irish Ceremony Wedding Tradition - Need Help =)

I am trying to incorporate an irish wedding tradition into our ceremony where the officiant rings a bell at the conclusion of teh vows or something:

Make-up bells. The chime of bells is thought to keep evil spirits away, restore harmony if a couple is fighting, and also remind a couple of their wedding vows.

Anyway, is there a special irish store where I should buy the bell or language I can give to the officiant to talk about this?

Thanks!!

Queens-Celtic Tiger on grand ave.

Also, check anything online.

But i must tell you, it might be hard to get the bell tradition. I just asked my mom and she was raised and married in Ireland and doesnt know about it.

She suggested the horseshoe. Someone from your BP carries a horseshoe. Not a real one, but one that is made. Im not sure the significance but I know I'll be using the one my mom had and my sister used it also. HTH

There is an Irish store on Islip Avenue in Islip called Little Shop of Shamrocks.

Yea never heard of the bell thing either.

One thing is putting a sixpence in your shoe, which is what alot of people do too. You can get one at any irish shop. I usually go Kathleen of Donegals in RVC.

We had a bagpiper, put the Irish blessing in our programs, and specially ordered Guiness for the reception. Other than that, I think those were the only Irish traditions we did.

There's also Quirks on Montauk Highway in West Babylon (right in front of the Kmart).
