Anyone know of any unique, fun Irish themed wedding favors? Any info would be great.

Re: Irish Favors
horseshoes are a symbol of good luck. An irish bride is supposed to carry one on her wedding day. So maybe you can do horseshoes with your names and date inscribed in it.
The Milleridge Cottage in Jericho (I think) has a store with wedding baby stuff and they have a whole section with Irish themed stuff.

Re: Irish Favors
I'm doing ceramic christmas ornament with an irish theme. They come in a set of four (irish harp, shamrock, cladaugh, and St brigid cross). They can be found at irishtinker.com

Part of our favor was a scroll containing the Irish Blessing and a celtic rose.

Did anybody do anything with shamrocks? Or incorporate an Irish theme in their centerpieces? Also where did you find Irish Favors? Any stores in Nassau?

Re: Irish Favors
My wedding is on 3/27/04 and we are having an irish theme. My girls dresses are Celadon. My champagne flutes have the claddagh on them, along with my placecards. My favors are claddagh ornaments which I will put our names and date on the back. I want to get invitations with the claddagh on them and I have ribbon with shamrocks on them which I will be putting around the necks of the vases for the centerpieces. Basically it is a irish/claddagh theme wedding. QVC has beautiful shamrock/claddagh champagne flutes for $31.00 for 6 of them. I might get them for my wedding party. If you have any more questions I will try to help you.

Here is a picture of what we did. We gave Irish Coffee/Tea mugs - one per person. In there was a individual tea bag, coffee bag, and a small bottle of Baileys. Here is the saying we put on the card:
Thank you for sharing our day with us. Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee and add some Baileys!! Enjoy!!
