Honestly? Do you think its way too long? Even 14 days? Its only two weeks...
Im just asking because something was said to me and I Want some BRIDES answers... not unhappy wifes from work

If you can afford it and you can both get that much time off of work, then I don't think it's too long. In fact, then I think you are both very lucky.

well, it depends on your job i guess - i know at my job a lot of people were shocked when someone took a long vacation, you know complainers i dont know if anyone complained when i took off - i was out like 12 or 13 days - but it ended up being more than 2 weeks when you added in the weekends - but we weren't honeymooning the whole time - HM was 7 days, then we took vacation at home for a week as well....if you can get the time off work and have the money i think 16 days is A OKAY!!

My parents took a 3 month honeymoon and today is their 31st wedding anniversary. Go figure!

We're doing 17 days.
We are going for 17 days as well. We leave Hawaii at night so we won't be back home until the next day so it's kind of like 18 days. At first I thought it was too long but now I'm so happy that we did it.

IMO...this is one of the only times that you can take a long vacation from work and people cant really say anything bad about it. so as long as you have the days and the money that you can do it, go ahead!!!!!

If I had 16 days to take for my honeymoon, I'd do it in a heartbeat!!!! BUT, I also think it depends on what you are doing. I think 16 days in one place might get boring, but if you are traveling around and going places, I think it would be really fun. What are you planning on doing??

I think that's fine! If we can manage it financially, I would absolutely do it. The job I'm currently in is very flexible with time off, so I wouldn't have an issue, maybe FH, but I would love to. In fact, 16 days isn't long enough for us to really do all we want in Greece!
If someone said something snotty to you about it, it's because they're jealous and wish they were going instead,

its definitly not!! but it depends on the 2 of you!! FH and i went away to celebrate our engagement to italy for 15 days, and for us it was a bit long becuz we felt we were just going site seeing and seeing the same thing over and over and were concerned about work etc.....Our honeymoon will be between 8 nights to 11 nights, but thats only cuz thats all our jobs are going to allow (we are both high up in our careers and need sometime to get our home together before going back to work) I guess in the end, if u count the days we will have off when we get home before going back to work itll be as if it were a 16 day one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could do 16 days... FH wants 7 I want it to be even more special... and I wanted 14 days in paradise away from the real world to celebrate our love.... we had to *gag* compromise so we're both unhappy and going for 10 days

I would def go for that long! I wish! The only thing I wpuld suggest is to make sure to plan activities b4 you get there bc I would get bored....even in paradise! lol. Are you going to more than one place? So excited for you!

I wanted two weeks and all my married friends (ALL of them) keep telling me after a few days you want to come home and chat, see pictues etc about your wedding. I am torn on what to do. I think we are going to do 12. I feel like a week on the beach everyday is more than enough.

No way we are planning on 14-15 days depending on flight times etc. We are going to Italy and are going to lose about 2 days to travel. My boss was actually shocked that we were not going for 3 weeks...I would if he paid me more!!
