I am not so good at these things, so definitely don't take my word, BUT - I don't think the wood looks like the greatest quality and you might be better putting the $250 towards a better one?

It's hard to tell from a pic though.....

no.. I don't think that that piece, considering it's already been USED should go for that much..

go to either Ikea or Gothic Cabinets..

Is it solid wood? If so then its a good price, otherwise, I would try to knock it down to $200 or so.

I think it looks really good for $250... for $200 it would be great!

I have looked at similar cabinets and if it is wood $250 is an excellent price.

If you decide not to take it FM me if your friend still needs someone to buy it

It looks line pine, which is a soft wood, so it can be scratched easily. BUT it's in great condition, and you couldn't buy that for $250 in the store- I say it's a good deal.

I showed this to my mom who is an interior designer and buys a lot of furniture - she says that $250 is a great deal. Be sure to get a coat of polyeurethane on it if it isn't treated already.

That looks like it is solid Oak... if so- then that is a good price and will last forever. If it is pine- then no- put the $250 towards something in a harder wood. Pine is a soft wood. I wouldn't recommend it for a piece of furniture for everyday use- like a computer station- except if you were interested in it eventually looking 'distressed'....

Can't really tell the quality by the picture... What company made it? How old is it? How much did he/she pay for it? It depends...like if its an Ethan Allen piece then yes!- it's a steal...but you really can't tell from the pic...
You can get something similar at Ikea, BRAND NEW, for about the same price.
