Is 250 too much for basic alterations?

Is 250 too much for basic alterations?

Princess Bridal of Farmingdale is the absolute worst place to go for your Bridal needs. Not only is the owner a nasty woman who clearly isn't Business or Customer oriented, but they are charging me 250 (which is the cap) for basic alterations i.e.: hem and an inch take in on the skirt portion of the gown. That of course doesn't include the $85 for the buss... Not to mention, the facility does not cater the the bride at all. As a matter of fact, for the money they rip off us brides, their facility should be palacial.

Perhaps its personal...why?...because I canceled my veil the very morning after I purchased it. And boy did I get a mouth full from that nasty old lady.

So, am I off my rocker or am I getting ripped off!!!

just because the alterations are capped at a certain amount doesn't mean it COSTS that much for what you need done. If all you need is a hem, it should be much less than that....I took my dress out of my salon after they screwed me with the size they ordered and to a 'real' seamstress who said it was going to be a lot of work to fix...to fix the top, hem and five point bustle she quoted me 200-250

I would call a seamstress and find out how much they will charge you. It seems like a lot and since you are so unhappy with the shop I would go someplace else.
I went to Princess Bridal and thought they were rude...all of the people that helped me seemed to have better things to do!
It is not only you, you don't have to feel crazy!
