Is 6 weeks for RSVP too much time?

Is 6 weeks for RSVP too much time?

I read that it should be 2-4 weeks prior to the event, but our families find it difficult to send a simple pre paid SASE back.

We wouldnt start calling non responders until about 2-3 weeks before or whenever we have to give the RH our final counts.

We plan to send the invites out a bit early too.

This would be the timeline.

Send invites: 1/27 (give ot take)
RSVP date: 2/25
Wedding: 4/6

How does it sound?
TIA

U rock!

the invite lady didnt seem to thing it was weird at all when I ordered them

BUT, i just emailed FMIL that I did the RSVP date as 2/25 and she said 'you mean 3/25, right'?,...which is less than 2 weeks prior.
