Is $75 for trial and $150 for day of too much or OK for hair and make-up?

Is $75 for trial and $150 for day of too much or OK for hair and make-up?

I was quoted $75 each for trial (so $150 total) and $150 each for day of (so $300 total) for hair and make-up...the total would be $450. Is this too much? Please help because I'm clueless to these things, it sounds high but I'm not sure.

Thanks,
Sasha

ETA: Oksana and Jenn ARE NOT available on my day and they were the lowest quotes I had received...the hair stylist does fashion and the make-up works for Bobbi Brown...so it's not typical 'bridal' make-up and hair. Still, I need help!

The makeup trials I've looked into were about $25-50. I did speak to artists that charge more for a trial but I thought it was a waste to pay more just for the trial alone..The day of I will be paying $125 for makeup.

My hair trial is $50 and day of $125.

Personally I think that is a lot-have you tried some of the other vendors people talk about on here?

Thanks girls. I have tried the LIW vendors and most, if not all, are booked. Jill Harth is open, I might give her a shot...anyone use her?

Thanks a lot...

I think 75 is steep for a trial!!

that is kind of steep

I was charged 25 for my make trial 125 for the day

and for hair 25 for a trial and 100 for the day

I think its on a 'higher' side, but not unreasonable. The trial is expensive, but the day off, is 'not that bad'.

I just had a trial with Jill yesterday and loved, loved, loved her. She was the most expensive trial I had BUT, I'm so glad I did it. The way I was going, I would've spent 5 times her trial price because no one else was applying my make-up the way I wanted it.

I'll add that I wear make-up daily. Because I'm a regular make-up wearer, I'm more picky than most. It's difficult, when you know how you apply your own make-up, to find someone you truly like.

If I were you, I'd go for the trial. Bring pictures if you've seen things you like.

Jill is the best! I highly recommend her. I posted a review and my pics on my wedding review.

I think so which is why I'm having a hard time finding someone. Apparently, those are the going rates if not more!

My hair is 150 and my makeup is 75. I think Makeup should be less. My trials are 75 for hair and 50 for makeup. I thought that was a lot. But i think I am happy with the salon.

The bottom line is.. if you afford it and it makes you happy, don't worry.
