Is a sit down dinner for a bridal shower too formal?

At first I didnt like the idea of this (3 courses plus dessert) but I think the food will be much better than your standard buffet!
I have only been to buffet showers and just think there is more opportunity to socialize, but then again once you get your food, you sit and eat and then watch present opening and play games.

mine was a sit down 4 course shower, I think it is fine

I've only been to sit down dinners for showers and they were very nice. Do what you want. They only correct way to do things is to do what you want. Have fun!!!
