I know I have never introduced myself and hardly ever post, but I need a little support and I have seen how good you girls are at helping people feel better.
I have decided not to wear a veil. Mostly, I can't justify paying so much for a cathedral veil (which is what I would want) only to wear it for a 10 minute ceremony and pictures. So, everytime somebody asks 'what kind of veil are you wearing' and I say 'none' , I get a face and 'how can you not wear a veil'?
So, now I'm second guessing myself and don't know if I should get one. Am I the only one not wearing a veil?!!!

i wouldn't worry about it... its your wedding, do what you want. but, if the cost is whats keeping you from doing it, check out e-bay and other online stuff... i got my veil for like $20 on e bay.... it wasn't cathedral length, but there were a lot of resonably priced ones on e bay

I went to a wedding where the bride wasn't wearing a veil, and I don't think anyone noticed (except me, of course) It's YOUR day...there are no rules.

People are going to make faces and share their opinions on everything about your wedding, so get used to it! You have to do what's right for you! Try searching around for an inexpensive veil like the other girls said, but if you can't find one and you're ok w/ that, then don't worry about it! It's your day, your way!

There are a whole bunch of brides not wearing veils, I think there was even a thread about it a few weeks ago. Try doing a search. Don't worry, veil or no veil you will be a beautiful bride Okay, she has a veil, but she has no body!
Yeah, you should do what you want. Everyone has an opinion about something. You're going to look gorgeous with or without a veil - and day of know one will even notice!

You are the bride & it is your wedding & if you don't want to wear a veil, well there's no rules. You can also think about hair jewelry or a hair comb or just a tiara. As some girls mentioned there are options for a reasonable veil.
Good luck in whatever you decide

I've been to several weddings where the bride did not wear a veil. They had hair jewelry or flowers in her hair and it looked beautiful. Plus, they got to keep the decorative touch in thier hair throughout the reception.

It's very common that some bride do not wear veils. Look at beach weddings, etc.
