Extending their cocktail hour???... i might be adding an extra 1/2 hr..this way just in case our pictures run a little to long...we wont miss the whole thing AND who doesn;t wish cocktail hrs could last forever?!?!?
I'm not having a cocktail hour. Since the wedding is so early in the morning and we have to be there around 9:30-10am for pics- I am having a breakfast instead. Mini muffins, bagels, spreads, jams, mammosas and things of that nature.

Re: is anyone...
We have a few hours between our church and the coctail hour so there is no need for us too. Our photographer actually said we will be able to attend our entire coctail hour.

Re: is anyone...
We're having an hour and a half cocktail hour because we figure if we run late with pictures that we can still hopefully make an hour and get a bunch of hellos out of the way.

I agree...I already told my photographer & doc that FH & I want to be in our ch for at least half of it...we are paying good money and also it is the perfect chance to say your hello & thank-you's so you don't need to waste time during the reception.

Not me. I'm having an afternoon wedding, so that hall doesnt allow it.
We aren't extending the cocktail hour but we are extending the reception! We figure we want to party a little more so when we booked we told them to add the extra hour!

Re: is anyone...
IMO people get antsy after an hour and are ready to start the party..my FH wanted to extend so we didn't miss it cause of pics but I'm more interested in the party than cockyail hour so it doesn't bother me

I definately am gonna do that!!! We got a lot of extras for our cocktail hour and want every1 to enjoy it!! I set it up so my church is early in the day (plus I was nervous it would be dark out by the time we got to RH and want outdoor pictures) . Go for it!!! You don't wanna miss ne of that time!! A great cocktail hour sets off a great wedding!!
