Yes.... FH and I are having big disagreements on this. I like my name... and I like it for work also. But he's old fashioned like that and wants me to change to his. He doesn't even like the idea of hyphenating it.... Eh, we'll figure it out
YES. I love my fh more than anything, but I am not a fan of his last name - at all. The only part of my name that I actually like is my last name, so to have to change it to one that I hate is not making me happy. I'm debating hyphenating it (he is not thrilled with that idea), but we both have pretty long last names to begin with....

im sad about losing it. Im sad that i wont be asked the question any more 'Any relation to the president?' LOL i am sad and more annoyed that i have to go through so much to change it. Men dont understand that we are the ones that have to change it on our credit cards, My nursing liscense, banks and so on. I do feel in my heart that i should take his last name... it would cursh him if i didnt.

a little it's been my name for 31 yrs and my daughters for 5, but I know, always knew I'd take my husbands name.

I was just thinking about this earlier today!
I was on the phone with tech support and spelling my last name ... it has 8 letters!
FH's last name is only 3 letters long!

thanks ladies, so glad to know I'm not the only one. I love my last name and not too fond of his last name so it is making me very sad to have to part with it and he is very offended that i even mentioned hyphenating it. but i was thinking if we ever have children i want my last name to be the same as theirs.

I am actually excited to change my last name it is something that I have always looked forward to, don't get me wrong I love my name now but it will be a milestone in my life!!

Im kinda in the same boat. I cant wait to take his name..but I know everyone is going to pronounce it wrong..my name is so easy to say..oh wellz
