and really going to end up spending a lot on flowers? The trend seems to be that most brides arent as concerned on flowers. Just wondering if there is anyone out there that makes flowers a big priority?
ETA: Oh, yeah - and what florist and type of flowers are you using?

'a lot' is all relative. We're spending about 9% of our budget on flowers.
I'm a flower freak, but I didn't spend as much as I would have liked. FH had to tighten the ropes at some point.

Flowers were huge priority for me!! I didn't go completely overboard, because we still had a budget to stick to, but I definitely wanted something very unique and colorful... I can't wait to see how it looks when it's all done!! I'll try to find pics of the flowers I am using...

our flowers are about 3% of our budget....but we got a great deal and love them. flowers are important to our wedding because Fh loves to give them to me - so they are a significant part of our relationship!

Well FH and I havent set a budget yet - bec we havent booked anything yet - but i kinda know my flowers are going to cost a min of $6K - eek - I home FH doenst say no . I finally came up wiht the floral arrangement and bouquet that I love - all orchids!

I don't know if Im a freak... but i specifically 'require' a certain rose and lillies collection for my bouquet.
It must be the Konfetti Rose (theres another name.. a Latin..something) that turns from deep yellow to red at it's tips with orange yellow calla lillies.
Im willing to pay ANYTHING for that bo-k, period.
I am even putting my rose on my cake (after the fact)
My rose will be in my MOH's hair too.
Table decor??? not too concerned as long as it follows the orange, cinnamon theme.

I looove flowers!!!... It was the second vendor I booked after the reception hall. Although, I didn't go completely crazy on them, of course because of FH.

AtticaQT, have you gotten other estimates? are you doing a lot of decorating with flowers (other than centerpieces, altar arrangements & bouquets)? Did you request specific flowers that are difficult to obtain? If that's the case, than $6k isn't too unreasonable.
