I am looking for a deal to buy tickets to hawaii. I saw that it is $59 to join for the year. Are the fares really discounted?? Is there a catch? thanks, jan

I belonged several years ago and bought a few plane tickets from them. If I remember correctly, they find the best deals that the airlines are offering and post them on the site. You need to be a member to see the full details. They've been in business for years and there was no catch.
I use travelzoo now - same concept but no membership fee.
