OMG. I had a friend in HS and her mom used to make (sp) Tadik? Like, a rice dish, and at the bottom she would put sometimes pita bread, sometimes potatoes. I cannot find a recipe, prob b/c I'm totally spelling it wrong...

LOL...Yea my grandma makes it...its a little tricky...not sure how to make it...its used with basmati rice.

lol...The trick is to use saffron on the potatoes it gives it that golden brown look...Ill ask my grandma and Ill FM you...you need to keep it on the flame for a while...
Oh yea and you cant use a non stick thats another trick, it wont get crunchy.
