I think I need professional help! I already made an excel spreadsheet of all of our expenses which tracks what we've paid out (complete with dates and check #'s) and what we have outstanding (complete with due dates and amounts), this spreadsheet has a 'spent to date' column. Today I made a timeline of what needs to be completed (monthly) for the next 10 months!
No wonder my FMIL calls me Monica (from Friends) but I know I'm driving FH crazy with the anal-over-organizing......

I am just as bad (or good) as you!
I even made a calculation at the bottom where it changes the final payment for my hall based on guests/vendors!!
But I do everything on computers!!!

Actually my FH is the one who is anal about the wedding finances. My big issue is the guest list. I have an excel document with multiple spreadsheets, with the wedding list, the wedding list broken up by each side, same with the shower, gift tally with thank you tally, a list of who will most likly come/not come.... I don't really know where I have the timeto do such an elaborate thing, but I can't help it! I'm obsessed!!! LOL

I am like that too. My FH loves the fact that he doesn't have to guess at anything, but still teases me because I am so anal. BTW, my mother hates it.

I did the SAME thing!!! Actually, I just added the payment columns (with dates and check numbers, of course) yesterday!! I also have a 'Amt over/under budget' column for each expense item! Plus, I downloaded it and my timeline to my PDA!!!!!
My MOH looks at me like I need to be locked up everytime she sees my planning stuff. But then she says 'well, I know who'll be planning MY wedding!!'
ETA - I also created a MS Access database for the guestlist complete with guestlist stats reports such as how many from grooms side, bride's side, parents, friends, how many singles, couples, marrieds etc. I also have an 'RSVP System' built into it for when it's time. It's great because I know at a glance exactly how many invitations I need to order already! Ok, I'm sick.

You are so anal...but this is good. You need to be with wedding expenses or you could: a) lose complete control & overspend, or b) lose track & get ripped off.

me too !! Everyone tells me how I am so anal about this whole thing but I truly believe that everything is in the details. A couple of months ago I started making a spreadheet that tells me what I need to do month by month and it has been great. It helps me feel like everything is not out of control !!! I cannot believe that there are other people out there who do this. Now I don't feel so odd !!!

Me! Me! Me!!!! I have a spreadsheet where it calculates down from my budget...so I know how much I have left. My mother thinks I'm crazy also...but this is how I keep myself in check and I know what I have to spend on certain things.

i do all of that!!!!
and then i update it every now and again. i have lists everywhere of what needs to get done and then i update that. i have weekoly lists of what needs to be done each week, i have monthly lists..... it's insanity!!!! but i have to be organized or i'd go crazy!

LOL me too
I have a list on the fridge, list by my pocketbook, post it notes all over, the calendar is marked up, I have my palm pilot set with alarms, and mostly everything else is stored on the computer and on back up disks.
