Is anyone changing into ballerina like white slippers/shoes at the reception?
I was thinking about doing this - i dont want my feet to ache after all that dancing and I know they will because I am such a comfy flat shoe gal -
What is everyone doing?

I can't...wish I could though...but my dress just hits the floor...and I'm wearing heels...so dress will then be too long!!

My mom wants to decorate canvas Keds for me to match the beading on my dress, and I will change into those at the reception. My sister did that for her wedding - it's right out of Father of the Bride. Plus, my father used to work for Keds, so it's appropriate.

I am also a comfy flat shoe gal so I did have a pair of ballet type slippers to change into. My shoes for the wedding were also flat shoes. However, I have a bad toe that starts to really hurt after standing for a long time. I was on my feet for 2 hours while we did pictures and my toe was throbing with pain. So I changed into my slippers and that is what I got married in!

I think comfort is extremely important so I will be sporting ballerina slippers at my reception. Besides FH is a 'little' taller than me so I wouldn't feel comfortable ina huge heel anyways

they also have some cute 'wedding-style' flip flops with a little bit of a platform that you can wear to give you a little height!! you can use them as an alternative to the ballet slippers perhaps....

I am wearing it all day. I want comfort from beginning to ened. Besides I am already an inch taller than FH

I am in the process of picking a flat or a low heel shoe. For comfort and to match my slightly shorter FH.
I would rather pick something i could be comfortable in whole time.

I could not change because if I took my heels off, I would have been dragging my dress around.

I am wearing them all day and plan to have my dress fitted with my ballet slippers. This is one day I don't want to be taller than FH and I also want to be comfortable

That was one of the first things I bought after my dress. I bought special occasion slippers (I think Dearfoam makes them) and plan on wearing no more than a 1' heel for my ceremony for a couple of reasons (1) so I am not taller than my FI and (2) so my dress wont drag all over the floor when I get into my slippers.

My wedding shoes never even made it to the alter. They were so uncomfortable! I put my ballet slippers on and they were great! If you do decide to do this, please tell your seamstress. You will need to alter your length a bit more than you would if you were to wear your shoes. I learned this lesson the hard way and kept stepping on my own gown.

I actually bought them at a store in New Jersey, but you can order them online too, they are made by Special Occassions. I don't remember where I found the picture from (I have it saved on my computer), hang on, let me do a search & I'll post the website!
