My mother really raised me, so I wanted to dance w/ her.... maybe to wind benath my wings... anyone have any suggestions?
i have a father who i am very close to, but my mother and i are also very close and i want to dance with her as well... so yes
My father just passed last month. I did ask my brother to stand in for Dad as he helps mom walk me down the aisle - Jewish brides and grooms are walked by BOTH parents and I didnt want to walk with an empty arm. We planned to dance together as well but I would also like to ask my mother. I don't think she will be emotionally equipped to handle it. If I ask her in advance, she will say no. Yet if I spring it on her at the wedding she may get upset too. I have time so I will play it by ear.

im dancing the traditional daddys little girl with my dad and wind beneath my wings with my mom. my sister danced with my mom to Because you loved me by celine dion and her singer incorporated the word mommy into the song. it was beautiful. my dad is so important to me, but my mom and i share a bond that i couldnt imagine not dancing with her too. im going to have my sister and niece come into the middle of the song as a surprise, bc i have such a small family and we are all that we have.

Mom is walking me down the aisle as well. I am surprising her with 'In My Daughters Eyes' by Martina McBride....real tear jerker!!

My mother is walking me down the aisle and I will be dancing with her as well.
My mom is walking me down the isle. But since my FH's mom passed away 3 years ago and my father lives in Europe and is not invited to the wedding, I will dance with my FFIL and my FH will dance with my mom...we thought we'd do it a little differently...then we're also doing a memorial song for FH's mom 'Sweet Caroline'...that was her name.
my father and mother are still married but i am sooo much closer to my mother... he will walk me down the aisle but my mom and i will do the dance

my cousin danced with her mom to 'wind beneath my wings' at her wedding. it was very beautiful. that song is so appropriate.
