is anyone doing their own makeup?

im not a pro, but i can definitely do my makeup

part of me feels like i want to do it because ill still look like me, just amped up. im afraid that if i hire someone they will make me look like im someone else.

we went to a wedding the other day and i did my hair hair and makeup, and my FH looks at me and says.. 'thats how you should look for our wedding.' he loved it.

so what do you think? hair i would definitely have someone else do!)

My sister in law did her makeup for her wedding and looked gorgeous. She doesn't usually wear too much so she went to Mac or Sephora and did a makeover and then bought all the products they used and did it herself the day of her wedding. I personally don't have the patience so I'm having mine done. You can tell the artist you want a very natural look so they don't cake the makeup on.

yeah I normally love doing my makeup and usually can only do the makeup myself to the way I like it ( I have had such bad experience with makeup artists doing lousy jobs) but it is your wedding day. Do you want to have to stop and worry about that? Having some one else do it you can just sit there and be calm and a lot of make up artists do good jobs of just enhancing your look without too much. Just a suggestion but its ultimately what you want.

As a makeup artist myself, I obviously CAN do my own makeup. I've decided not to do it myself because I want someone to pamper me for a change, you only get married once and I want to be relaxed that morning.... not worried about if my eyeliner is on straight or not. It is my day to feel like a princess! With that being said, I knew it would be a SUPER hard search to find someone that I trusted... but ya gotta keep looking until you do (or you go broke trying)

i'm a makeup artist too (woohhooooo) and I have been contemplating it. every artist I look at I say 'mehhh' orrr theyre VERY expensive. but i keep saying that i just want to relax and be pampered! but i am nervous because im super picky about my makeup

I'm a makeup artist as well and event some of the girls I work with at Mac have offered to do my makeup cheap but (no offense to my co-workers I am very picky and actually felt more comfortable hiring someone that I don't work with). I am perfectly capable of doing my own but like everyone else I don't want to stress the morning of. I know how I do under pressure and it usually isn't my best work so I much rather be pampered and calm. Just really look at fb portfolio and websites to find the look you want to make sure you know going into the trail the makeup artist has done the look your going for so you don't go broke doing 100 trials.

Do any of your BMs do makeup? They would probably do it for free, and you could do as many trials as you want to get the perfect look. My MOH's sister does amazing work, so I'm having her do mine the day of.
