I feel like wedding favours are cheesy sometimes. I think I want to have FH and I donate to a cause in lieu of spending the money on favours that people probably don't want anyway. Is anyone else thinking of doing this?
I'm thinking donating to a spinal cord injury foundation.

Got my favors today and am really happy with them Donating is so awesome, but I wanted to incorporate my mom some how since she's no longer w/us and she loved to play poker...and a great way to share my friends artwork from our invitaitons
I couldn't attach a pic here so check out my album. I love being able to share here because I learned the hard way not to text pics of things to friends (like me in my dress) they end up getting around and people yell at you for not sending it to them, WTH why don't I just post it on FB for all to see, LOL sorry had to vent for a sec. If that's the worst drama I've had, I'm very lucky!

Yes, we are donating to two charities in honor of my late sister and his late grandfather.

We are doing donation favors.
We are donating to 2 causes. The MS Society bc my older brother suffers from MS. And my little cousins scholarship fund. He passed away 6 1/2 years ago at the age of 16 from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. So both are very dear to our hearts.
I think donations favors are a wonderful idea! I plan on making a sign when people walk where the seating cards are explaining where, and why we are donating and having pictures on them on the paper as well as having donation cards at each place setting. There also can serve as book marks.
Here the link I found for the idea: I thought these were really cute and use our engagement pics so that was a double check ! lol

I think we are doing a donation to Autism Speaks and to Save the Music, since he is a music teacher and I am a special ed. teacher.

We are donating to the World Wildlife Foundation. Our seating cards are going to be attached to little sachets of lavendar, so people are still getting to take home something anyway.

Those are awesome! You made those? I'm jealous hah, I'm the worst when it comes to DIY. Those can also be used as like a bookmark or something which serves double duty- so rockin!
I didnt personally make those ones. but I saw them on a website. Its called moo.com. I am going to do the same thing though and all you have to do is make a hole and attach the ribbon. I think its going to be a pretty easy DIY. You could totally do it!!!

Also consider setting up a charity registry. You can set one up through www.idofoundation.org, or some groups have their own which cut out the middleman fees.

FH brother passed away when they were younger. FH wanted to donate to make a wish bc when his brother was sick they bought him a lap top. .. i also bought these cotton things from davids bridal which you plant and turn into flowers.. so were gonna attach them to the tag.
