i have not booked anything yet. so many people on here are almost finished booking meanwhile i haven't even started. it is so hard trying to plan a wedding while in school. my semester is so hard already. i am taking FH to see the RH on sunday. hopefully he likes it & maybe i can get the guy to hold the date for us before my parents see it. i have to keep calling churchs because of this confirmation issue. one church told me that if i book 6 months prior to the wedding then they will do it with only one of us confirmed. but what if they don't have the date available??? i am not making my wedding a two day event. i am so stressed.

Ugh I know what you mean...I haven't done a thing and I want February 2010!!
Good thing I changed my original plan of September 2009...I never would be able to swing that!!

I havent done anything beyond booking my RH. My wedding is more than two yrs away, so I think I have some time. But I understand your feelings...reading how far along others are really makes you feel pressured to move faster

i am seriously going to have a nervous breakdown. what makes it all worse is that by time i graduate & hope to get a job my wedding will only be 10 months away. & then my MOH (sister) wont be able to help me with anything because she will be taking her nursing school exam.

My church you don't need to be confirmed. It is in ELmont I don't know if that is close to you or not

Don't feel too stressed, some of us have just about everything booked, because we have been on here for almost a year already. Take a deep breathe, everyone works at different paces and has a different game plan. Try not to feel too stressed because people have more things done.
Me personally, i wanted to have everything booked by August, because of my second job, and also because i get high anxiety when i have too many things going on.
So i have all my major vendors booked: the RH/ceremony, florist, photo/video, dj, officiant, have STD's, and have favors

If the show case at Douglston Manor goes well I might just book there! I just want to meet with the vendors in their package.
it's very appealing to me that I don't have to go searching for a DJ, photographer, etc..
I know they use Ariana Studios for photography and I hear nothing but good things about them

the thing with me is that i know who i am going to use for limos, flowers, photo/video but i feel like why i am going to book all these things if i don't have the RH booked yet?? its very fustrated because FH says things like, i thought u would of been more excited about planning then you are. but he doesn't understand how difficult these things are to do.

i know how hard it is to visit halls while in school I did it during the summer because i didn't have school so i took advantage of that time...good luck i know finding a hall is really stressful once you get that out of the way you won't feel as stressed

My church you don't need to be confirmed. It is in ELmont I don't know if that is close to you or not
i am in brooklyn so its not that far if i really need. it will probably end up costing more money since i will need limos longer & then my photo/video will have to go from brooklyn to elmont & back to brooklyn. plus my florist is also in brooklyn so that could be an issue too..

i know how you feel.....every since i joined these boards i've gotten more anxious. i wasn't even planning on booking an RH until the end of the year.............but when i got here i felt the pressure to do it sooner. lol. oh well.
remember u have PLEANTY of time to plan. do a little planning every weekend. dont over exert urself. you have TIME. 2010 is a long time away.
i try to tell myself that everyday. i dont want to spend every weekend driving out to LI (i live in nj). so i'm spacing out my planning so i dont drive myself nuts.
and if the most popular vendors on here are already booked by the time you get to them....so what? there are so many talented ppl out there ready and willing to do your wedding.

everyone works at their own pace. i'm crazy when i have to get stuff done, i'd rather do it asap.
you do have time to do things but if you do want a specific vendor than i would do the research so your date doesnt book up.
just make a list of what you want done in what order and when your head is into it then go book it
