No. Not to be morbid, but I think she is dead and they quite possibly will never find the body. While sympathetic, what was she thinking going into a car with three strange men in a foreign country!? I wouldn't do that in my hometown, let alone another country! And even when I went to Mexico for spring break during college we always used the buddy system and wouldn't have let someone go off alone with three strange men. The whole thing is just so bizarre to me.

No. Actually I thought it was already ascertained that she was in fact dead. I guess not - shows you how much I've been keeping up with it.
It terrible to say but after a certain # of days, you can't help but assume the worst.

Same here ...
It's also inconceivable to me that (if she was in no shape to realize it was a bad decision), none of her friends were looking out for her and stopped her from leaving with them, to say nothing of the chaperones!!!!

we were discussing this this weekend and all of us mentioned the 'buddy' system that we used on vacations, at clubs, bars, etc. I wonder if she was a bit naive being from Alabama.
My cousin thinks she was sold as a sex slave and is in South America

I left my friends in a bar in Florida on Spring break & got in a strangers car!
Somtimes, even when you know better, you just don't think.

I agree 100%. I just don't understand what she was thinking by doing this.

When you are young you think nothing bad will happen to you...i don't think it's right to but the blame on her for making a bad judgment call - how many times have we all made silly mistakes...especially being young and intoxicated...I just think she was in the wrong place at the wrong time...I hope they solve the case soon so that her family and friends can have some sort of closure.

I think her biggest mistake was not having a buddy to watch out for her....but they are saying that she met one of these boys days earlier, and that they had hung out every day, gone site seeing, things like that. He was from an affluent family, they had things in common-She was just a kid, I'm guessing she though since she'd known him a few days, that it was ok.....now they are saying they think she might have been drugged, I don't know. I feel terrible for her mother.

While i agree with what you are all saying about the buddy system, i must admit that sometimes you don't think...especially being young, drinking for one of your first times and thinking you are invinceable. You can all say you will do something, but have a lot of drinks in you, you do not have the judgement that you do when you are sober.
Personally, I have actually been called the mother by alot of my friends becuase i always make sure no one is left at a bar by themselves. However on my bachelorette party one of the girls decided she was too drunk to stay out and left by herself and most of us did not even realize it. It happens unfortunetly.
As for the girl i think she is dead. Aruba is too small of a country for someone to be keeping her...especially since all the people who were last to see her are in jail right now. I just hope they find her.
Also, Amy Bradleys mother has been making the rounds lately since this has happened. She is the mother of the girl who disappeared on the Cruise ship while they were docking in Curaco (near Aruba) and she is conviced that she is being held a sex slave in the Caribbean. Personally i was on the ship she was on and saw the balcony she was last seen sleeping on and she was out drinking with her brother that night...the only thing missing was her cigarettes....I think she was drunk and went overboard or her cigarettes slipped through the bottom to an ajoining deck and she tried to get around the wall (which she would have to climb over the railing) to get them and fell. It happens.......people don't always make rash decisions when drunk
