fi & i have been engaged since july 2004. i dove head first into wedding planning - we're talking 3 magazine subscriptions, researching every vendor i could find, saving images of dresses/bouquets/etc.
and now...
i'm completely fried. anything i do now is more out of habit than desire. i'm at the point where i wish we were getting married this year so the planning would be over and done with.
anyone else?

Re: Is anyone else burnt out?
yes, I think it is completely normal to take a break. I, too, dove headfirst into planning and booked all my vendors very quickly and now I find myself in a rut. So, I am taking a break...and looking at your wedding date, you definitely have time to sit back for awhile. Good luck!

You should def take a break and just let things cool down. This is supposed to be an enjoyable experience!!! My cousin is getting married a week after you and so far all she's done is book the church, the hall, and ordered her dress and veil. Take some time for yourselves and don't worry about the wedding for awhile!!

The same happened to me. I can't wait to go back to work so that I can take a break from wedding stuff. I want to have everything done already. I got most of the big stuff done.

I was enjoying my wedding planning until my inlaws found out we were getting married. That kinda ruined the fun of being engaged!

Re: Is anyone else burnt out?
I reached my end point last month because the stress of dealing with both of our mothers has affected my health. We ALL need a break from wedding planning and wedding talks, etc.

Re: Is anyone else burnt out?
I am feeling blah about everything right now: work, the wedding, everything! We had three really busy weekends in a row (the first two where we went to NY and looked at officiants and florists and the third where we moved FBIL into college and 1 day later he moved back home ). So I am spent. I don't want to do ANYTHING.

Yes....this is me. Sometimes I want to through my binder and lists across the room. I hate calling vendor and I hate wondering if I made the right descision or if I am getting the best deal. It very frustrating and tiring...

It can definately be exhausting but there will be down times with no wedding planning is insight, take that time to relax, I have been trying to do it little by little, it seems ok so far

Re: Is anyone else burnt out?
Me!!! I am sooo tired of being a 'bride'! No one talks to me about normal things, it's always about the wedding. This is stressing me out so much. But with less than 7 months less and soo much not done, I can't take a break and I am not enjoying this at all.
The best advice I can give you is to take it slow and enjoy every moment. Step away for a while and just breathe. It will go by so fast.
