Is anyone else coming down with colds??

Since Sunday FH has been sick. Nothing bad, just stuffy, nasal and a little congested.

Today I wake up with a really dry and scratchy throat. I havent stopped caughing. I know I'll be hitting the drug store and supermarket for lots of OJ this afternoon.

Is anyone else coming down with colds???

I hope whatever we have passes and soon.

ME! There has been a 24 hour flu-ish thing going around- I have it- totally congested and have muscle aches in my thighs of all places- office mate has it too!

I started with something yesterday - same thing but I think it is allergy

My friend has a sinus infection, and my mom seems to be coming down with something.

Christine: how have your allergies been?? mine are usually bad but I guess with all this bad weather they havent been bothering me. FI doesnt really have allergies so him being sick is what is throwing me off

R U Sure he is sick - I have had NO allergy probs really this year - which is REALLY rare. But last week I had some sinus problems - but yesterday - I started with stuffyness, sinus headach and post nasel drip sore throat...all my allergy problems when I have bad problems - I have to take care of myself or it turns into a sinus infection. I can usually tell whether I'm sick or not by my temperature - I learned with allergy I have 100 or LESS when I go above that it means I'm sick... I was told by my allerist and ENT that the low fever is what happens when your sinuses are tight - draining them brings down the fever

He doesnt have a temp, just a lot of stuffyness, sore throat, achy, and coughing. A few sneezes.

He never gets sick or has allergies. I think in the 4 1/2 years I know him I have seen him sick once.

I have really bad allergies but so far knock on wood they havent acted up. (until next week when I am around cats)

He started Sunday and I started this morning. So now really sure what this is. I am hoping OTC stuff we have and lots of vitamin C will knock this out.

MY Fi has one he can't shake. I think it's because he's run down and not gettin enough sleep but he gets one, it goes away, then comes back again!! AARGH!

I just got over a sinus infection...and today I woke up with a sore throat - deep in the throat, if that makes sense. My allergies have been on full alert this season - very itchy eyes and congested (but the latter is not unusual for me) - even with Allegra D & Nasacort. yuck. This rain is killing me.

I have zyrtec that I am holding for next week.

Has anyone used claritan? how is that stuff??

I used Zyrtec a few times - it knocked me out in the worst way. I used Claritin, then ClaritinD, for a couple of years - worked like a charm for a while...then didn't do the trick anymore. IMO, AllegraD is *THE* best allergy medicine out there.

I'll have to get a script for allegra.

I havent tried claritan yet.

Zyrtec works great for me. I have samples FI's mom gave me (she is a nurse and got them from the hospital)

Nothing else works for me. Benedryl, dayquill, tylenol allergy none of that stuff helps me

Last tue that is how I started to get sick with the scratchy throat, nasal congestion and I am just starting to feel better today, I have been on 4 antibiotics and 20 boxes of tissues. Over the counter stuff didn't work, if it gets any worse call the doctor and get some good stuff.
