Re: Is anyone else / did anyone else
I'm actually doing the opposite. I let my hair go back to its natural color for the wedding and then I'm going blonde afterwards.

sexy mima with that dark hair!
mine will be dark brown for the wedding - its naturally a dark ash blonde which is yucky - ive been practically platinum blonde to black and all the colors in between but the most natural looking and most common color for my hair to be is a dark brown - im going to start coloring it again professionally next month so that its good for the wedding - since we got engaged i started letting my rooots grow out sooooo bad! trying not to spend money on myself - need it all for the wedding! but my hair will be like it is in my avatar pic or maybe a tad darker

My hair is highlighted BLONDE -- I have one more appointment for more blone and then she will start to low light it.
So to answer your question NO I will not be using my natural color -- which is an auburn color. I like to think of it as my own color but enhanced!

I did. My hairdresser told me to go as natural as possible. She told me that the highlights sometimes show up too much on camera and can look fake?? i dont know - this is what she told me so i just took her advice.

Re: Is anyone else / did anyone else
I am so sick of dying my hair. I've been highlighting it blonde for like 10 years ... and it's sooo hard to stop. It's naturally a dark blonde - by now it looks brown actually. It's gotten darker as I've gotten older.
After the wedding, maybe in early December, I am cutting it like v. beckham I think and going to try to go natural. i'd love to be a nice rich brown but that would mean more dying. however, i might start using a box since the salon gets expensive (even though mine is relatively cheap).
men have it soooo easy.

Re: Is anyone else / did anyone else
My hair is going to be nothing even close to my natural color I naturally have dark brown hair but have it dyed red and blonde. I just think it will be sexier for the wedding. I think for me having just one color especially brown is boring and does nothing for me. After the wedding is a different story. I am dying to dye my hair dark but after having it like this that would be a drastic change.

I'm tired of the hightlights and I miss my dark dark hair. I feel like I don't even look Italian anymore w/all of the highlights!

Re: Is anyone else / did anyone else
I stayed with my highlights. Actually I considered toning it down..which I should have but just never did and many people talked me out of it.
After my hair trial, I decided I liked the way it looked when highlighted...it just added texture. I cant explain it, but when my hair is all one color, it tends to look flat....the updo doesnt show up as good as it does with highlighted hair!

I prefer more natural hair on a bride - im all for trends and trendiness - but i dont really like anything that looks fake on a bride - whether its her hair, make up, nails and the tan - i guess being from staten island im just sick of that staten island look and when brides look that way i like natural, classic beauty

Ahhh I have thought of this too! Will highlights and chunky zebra highlights be out in the future? Will me and my kids look back and say what awful hair!?!?! LOL!

you are so much better off!! everyone said i would regret messing with my hair - and they were right - i do - although i did love doing some crazy colors to my hair - but i was also younger when i did that stuff- last year i did it like an eggplant color and i liked it - but i dont know, something about getting older, i just like more natural - sometimes when things are too fake it looks trashy - i never felt that way until i got older - when i was younger i liked everything fake fake fake - but now i like natural

That is definitely possible but I am not going to have my hair a certain way just so I dont look back and say I had awful hair You know your kids will find something to make fun of no matter what I would rather love the way I look now then go for a boring look just so it doesnt look out dated later on. So many brides I've seen have gone back to their natural color and I want to be different, sometimes natural is boring But to each his own. No matter what though you have to be happy with your decision, I just think with the way I am doing my hair it will just look better having the two colors. I get so many compliments on my color that I am not going to experiment and try changing it now.

BUT i have to say you are 100% right about the updo and highlights - your updo wouldnt have looked as great without the dimension your color gave it - for instance, if i do the same exact style for my wedding its going to look a lot more plain and it would probably look boring on me b/c my hair is dark and one color....i think that because you did a classic style the highlights dont look too trendy - your wedding ensemble was very classical so i dont think you will look back and regret it at all...
