Is anyone else doing this in 6 months

I think I might be crazy. FH & I found a place we really like but they won't come down on the price pp at all.
Told us that it was already greatly reduced because of being so soon.
Has anyone else ever heard of this?
Everyone keeps telling us that the price is negotiable and FH thinks we should not pay the first price but I think its a great deal and it's the only date they have available for us.

Your help will be greatly appreciated!!

I think that because this is the first place you have looked at.. I think you should look at some other places.. if you can go look at two or three more this weekend.. then make a decision. Especially if you are on a budget .. I think many places can be negotiable. If you don't mind me asking, where did you look?

my place had a set price depending on the date, and wouldn't budge. It was upsetting. But, some places just know they'll book no matter what, without having to go down in price.

If they won't come down in price, see if they'll throw something in?

I would prefer not to the name the place right now because that might make it harder for us to negotiate (if they check here too).

We did see 2 places. Thing is we really don't have much time and I have a certian 'type' of place in mind.

They both told us the same thing though, that they are offering the lowest price becuase of the time and from what I have found out from other people it really is a good price....

Then go for it!! Book it! See if they can thrrow something in like someone else just said.

Some places bargain and some don't. Mine didn't, but I was getting so much for my $ I was content with the price.

Go for it. A lot fo places don;t bargain. See if they'll throw in a chocolate fountain or something if it makes you feel like your getting a better deal.

we got engaged in Dec and are getting married in June. The first couple of months were very hectic running to vendors every day, but now it has calmed down alot...it can definitely be done, as long as you are a little flexible about vendors. Book your music and photographer quickly...everything else is easier...good luck!!!
