Is anyone else dreading.....

their shower??

I know my shower is coming soon...(not quite sure when but being that my wedding is less than 2 months away, i know it has to be around the corner)

Anyway...i am not looking forward to it at all!! is that weird of me?? I just feel like it is going to be super awkward with my family, my dad's side of the family (whoever decides to come...i'm not too close with most of them, probably can only put a name to a few of their faces, i havent seen nmost of them in years!) and then FH's family....again...most of whom i know, some who i happen to know very well, and others who i know the face yet forget the name and have no clue how they are related to FH, lol.

i know FMIL will make things easy with his side of the family, she is good like that.....but my mom is SO SHY, and barely talks to FH's mom as it is....i have been practically begging her to include FH's mom, and i dont think she has....i am just worried about how things will pan out.

Awww ... so sorry Heather ... it won't be as bad as you think. You'll be soooo excited that day, and everyone will be sooo happy for you -- it won't be awkward!!!

ya know what it is....i am not good at being the center of attention.....i used to not mind so much when i was younger, but that was b/c i had tons of friends and they always acted as a 'buffer' to things. Now, i have fewer friends (of course, my bridal party is great!) i invited my work friends but have NO idea if they will come, and FH wont even be around, so i guess you can just say i am nervous.

I think you'll be fine..it's all about you...don't worry about who talks or gets along with WHO. The beauty of it being your shower is that you only have to worry about you and having a good time. Although it was disputed, I said I didn't want anyone at my shower that I don't speak to or that I wouldn't recognize if they walked in the room. May sound selfish but I don't want to be uncomfortable and don't want anyone else to be either.
