FH has a son, so I after we get married I will be his stepmom officially! I started thinking about this again because yesterday I bought my mom a mother's day card and I showed it to FH, and then he said 'well you might get something for mother's day too' and I was at first like 'huh?' and then I was like, 'oh yeah, I guess I understand!'
My parents think it is cool, we have been calling them insta-grandparents!
Also, how are you dealing with the stepkid's mom?

yep! fh has a 5 year old son.
i got a movie and card for mothers day last year. I hope i do again this year. it was so sweet :)

I'm getting a a stepson. I've been in his life since he's 4 and we get along well. His mom on the other hand is another story. Stupid B I T C H!

im gaining a 10 yr old stepson. we get along great! and best of all the mom isnt really in the picture. he lives with FH's parents who raised him since he was a baby. the mom see's him like 2-3 times a month. Dont know why. bizarre situation but WORKS FOR ME!

That sounds familiar but FH's 8 year old son lives with us and see's his mom whenever she feels like it which isn't as often as a mom should.

fh is getting a step daughter but she is the only father she has ever known and we started letting her call him daddy now so she goes back and forth from daddy and jon depends i forget a lot to refer to him as daddy i guess we all just have to get used to it.

I'm getting an 8 yr old step son - he's the cutest! And me and the mom get along just fabulously. She wants to help plan the wedding, ha, I'm very lucky that she's so great!

I am getting a 11 year old step son. I have never met him before because he lives in my fh country. The extent of my relationship with him is a couple of phone calls and some gift exchanging ( from my part). My fh wants him to come live with us after we get married. Let's see how that turns out.

I'm getting a stepson! He is going to be 8 and is totally a cool kid, I've known him since he was an infant (whole other story! definitely not a K-Fed Britney situation but I was in their life early)
