Is anyone else having problems with vendor emails???

I posted to LI Weddings, and they said they corrected the problem that i was having unchecking the box which allows vendors to get my email account. But when I go back to my account the check is still there, and when I try to update is myself, it just won't stay unchecked!! I have been getting so many emails from vendors and it's driving me crazy! I posted to LI Weddings both on this board and on the mailbox forum board and they aren't responding. Is anyone else having this problem???

Did you register at any bridal shows, or David's Bridal? They really hit you with vendor emails. Also, if it is a lot of vendors associated with your hall, they might have given out your email address.

That check box is checked by default. So, when you go to the page it will always be checked. If you uncheck and then update the page it will be unchecked in our system. That checkbox has nothing to do with any vendor sending you email. It is there for us to send you email about upgrades to the site etc and not for vendors.

did you register for that 1,000$ giveaway? I never got any vender solicitations until I entered the contest, and now I get at least 3 a day.

Yes, I registered for the contest just the other day. That must be it, b/c one of the emails I got this morning is from [email protected] and the subject is 'special offer for LIWeddings.com brides'! I have to complain about this.
