Is anyone else having trouble dealing with....

...the fact that on your wedding day, everyone will be there because of you and FH?

I know it sounds like a weird thing to have trouble with, but I'm really having trouble dealing with this! lol. Its like a totally foreign concept to me. I never really had any birthday parties, sweet 16s, etc.......and i'm not very selfish or spoiled. Its so crazy that I'll have a batchelorette party and a bridal shower....and everyone will be there for me! I have alot of family coming from out of town for my wedding, and I'm like 'holy crap, they are spending money to come to MY wedding!' lol. I dont know, maybe its just me!

i actually feel Bad about it sometimes... like how much money people are laying out here and there for gifts, travel expenses, etc... just for US! but, i try to savor it... its really the only time you'll ever get it ... and i get a warm fuzzy feeling thinking about it too... like when people tell me how much theyre looking forward to it- its just an awesome feeling

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I was telling MOH about this and she was looking at me like I had 5 heads.

But I have to totally agree with you on the warm fuzzy feeling when people tell me that they are really looking forward to it. :)

I am feeling you girl....I hate people looking at me!!! And when we see a wedding on TV we are like how in the heck are we going to do this!?!??! I think I am going to hire someone to be in my place that day!!!

I totally feel the same way. I hate being put on display and have people stare at me. I'm shy to begin with and to have a day filled with people's eyes burning a hole in you, I don't know how I'll get through it without lots of alcohol!

After watching every single one of my friends and co-workers get married and all of my extended and immediate family, except my own brother, I am very ready for the attention to be on me! Most of my friends have been married for years and already done having kids. Finally, the shower, bachelorette, and wedding will be mine.

Girls and guys please enjoy it. It's your moment in the sun.

Maybe I treasure it a bit more because being in my mid-30's when I met FH, I wasn't sure if it was ever going to happen.

I wish I could feel that way!!!! But I still feel like I am asking everyone to put themselves out. Today my SIL (brother's wife) sent out my Bachelorette weekend info to all my friends. I am not allowed to know the weekend (only that its in June) or where. I actually asked my best friend to tell me if it was an affordable choice for everyone!!!
BTW- I didn't get an answer!

i think it will be different for me. my family knows how long it took me to find my fh. they're beyond estatic that this day has finally come. at first it might seem weird, but i know they're there because there so happy i found a special man to spend the rest of mmy life with
