09 crashing.... I have a budget sheet and everytime I book something it add and calculate how much I own and everything... After we booked the florist I told FH that I better go and get so condoms and start selling myself in the street b/c I dont know how we are going to do everything..

we're definitely over budget on certain vendors but we're desperately trying to compensate for that by cutting back where we can.....it's hard! =\

ummm so yesterday i made a spreadsheet to see how much we paid and owe
OK i almost had a heart attack
we dont really have a budget
but we owe out over 20K and still didnt finish booking all of our vendors

so yes we are deep Sh!t
ETA: and we already paid out THOUSANDS!!!!!!
OMG I do this every day and stare at the spreadsheet like wait I have too much to still add on!! I started doing envelopes and each time i reach a vendor's amount (minus the hall) I put it in the envelope and seal it up and they are done!
It's worked so far so good, but i think i am going to need 30 envelopes!!

YES! and I still have 6 months to go.. I thnk our mistake was only setting a budget in our heads rather than on paper!

Oh pls. I think the whole thing of having a budget before you start looking is bound to make u feel bad. I mean unless you planned these suckers before, you have no idea how much every detail is. I freaked on FH when he said I was over budget. I told him I had priced matched 4 other vendors & searched online. & am doing everything that I can do myself.. myself. soooo
we can do only what we can do.
I mean come on.. not like I am planning to ride in one white Arabian horses into the wedding.. (saw that one an episode of super sweet sixteen) >.. so I can't be that bad... lol

Exactly!!! FH and I pretty much threw out our budget the minute we decided on our RH. Then we decided to try and be as frugal as possible on other things..............but that just doesnt seem to be working out according to plan Believe it or not, he is more of the PITA when it comes to all of this wedding planning. Absolutley no concept of how to budget TIME, much less money. He thinks we have 'ALL THE TIME IN THE WOLD' to get things done!!

I'm in the same boat! i stress about it sometimes. FH is really stressing... i did the budget after speaking to friends and its crazy! it's like a down payment on a house! aaahhh

Right now we are like $1 G over and still haven't bought rings or his and my sons' clothing. We are thinking of spending $5 on a 'familymoon' (the kids will come with us) and my BM announced she is getting married 3 weeks after me and wants me to be her MOH.
Wait, did I mention her wedding is in the DR??????
Ugh..I may have to walk the streets soon.

im over budget and under minimum..thats really *****..that i now see how much i could have saved if everyone that said they were going to come actually came
