Obviously now I officially live w/ DH. I am SO overwhelmed with what I have to do to get myself settled and organized, and I just keep putting it off! My clothes and shoes are all sitting in garbage bags, and I have NO clue what to do w/ my mail and bills that need to get paid! When I lived w/ my parents I had a place for everything, but I don't have that at our house yet! I am normally the most organized and anal person there is, but this... I wanna tear out my hair!

Do it little by little. One bag at a time. I was like that when we first moved in together. Stuff was everywhere. You'll get it done, dont worry.

We have been living in our new home together since March. I can't tell you how many boxes are still in the basement.

Just take your time. DH and I have been in our apartment for about a month and we still have so much unpacking to do! Unpacking has been put on hold for a bit since I started work and school again (I'm a teacher), so on the weekends we do little by little.

Def do little by little - get lots of storage containers, mail sorters, office supplies, maybe a 4 ft high three drawer cabinet for extra clothes storage...
Or you can throw everything in a pile, set it on fire, and start from scratch.

FH and I have been living together almost 2 years, and we moved to a different apt this past April. We're STILL in boxes!!! Unpacked necessities, spent one weekend unpacking all our clothes (he has more than me!!). But then between his frequent business trips, my end-of-the-school-year craziness, and then running all over the place all summer (I accompanied him on 2 business trips, we visited my parents in FL), then my sister had her baby so I was there helping out, and now school began last week so I've been swamped with preparing things for my class, I still have sooooo much organizing here to do! I promised myself I'd organize the kitchen this summer. Still in boxes. Can't find what I'm looking for sometimes.
I sympathize with you, because I have piles of bills, wedding things, school stuff, and medical papers all over the place.
I still have my 3 huge bookcases that still need to be braced to the wall!!!! I had to raid all my book boxes tonight to find my special September 11th book to read to the kids in the morning........ and I can't find it!!!!!!!!! Found a few books about the flag and the pledge, but I can't find the specific book I need!
I've found it easier to tackle one thing at a time, and when I get a burst of energy, I unpack a box, or organize a pile of stuff. To make it go faster, I usually put on music or a favorite movie to pass the time.
