Is anyone else quitting their job after the wedding?
I am only staying at my present job for the 3 weeks paid vacation we are using for the Honeymoon. I can't be there anymore. I am going crazy. I called in sick today just because of the stress and drama that goes on there. I can't wait until November Is anyone else doing this? Thanks for letting me vent

i gave my 2 wk notice last week! my last day is tuesday and then i don't start my new job until june 21

Thanks That's great that you don't have to start your new job until June 21st
I used to love going to work in the morning but now I have to drag myself out of bed. I use the wedding countdown clock as my job quitting countdown clock too

If we find a house out on LI then I will most likely work for only a short time after the wedding but if we are renting in Queens/Brooklyn then I will be at my job until the house falls through.
I can't wait either. FH tells me I don't have to work once we are married but who knows?

I was laid off in January and have since found a new job.
I was planning on quitting the old one after the wedding due to location issues (we are looking to move to NJ). The new job is in NYC so, I should still be able to stay on.

sorry to hear that Allison! Hope things at work get better for you - I know the feeling I used to feel the same way at my old Job...I used to cry because it was so bad - Thank God I'm not there anymore - Lots of Luck

I just recently moved to Westchester and I'd love to leave my current job only b/c of the commute (to NYC). I think I'm better off waiting until after the wedding b/c of the vacation time....but if the right opportunity comes - I'm there!

I would love to quit but sadly cannot I have to work. I actually quit my last job without having another job lined up and was so fortunate to be working again after 3 weeks. I can't take that chance again.

I can't quit until I have something else ligned up, but I would like to time it right after the wedding. I've been at my job for over 3 years and it's time to move on!

No.. there is no reason to. I would be bored out of mind anyway- Once we start a family, I will take a long leave of absence.

I'm glad I am not alone I just finished real estate school so after the wedding I will start selling! When I get pregnant I will stop working hopefully for a little while but then go back to real estate.

I would love to quit right before I go to NY for the wedding and start a new job after the honeymoon.
But it looks like I will have to start my search after the honeymoon. With graduation and the wedding, I don't have time to devote to a job search.

I'm actually resigning this FRIDAY!! I've been at my job for 3 yrs and it's time to go. I feel extremely happy that I'm doing it, but I'm a bit nervous too. I've been prolonging the inevitable and I have to make a move, so I'll be preparing for the wedding, losing weight, and trying to get a job in real estate.
I need to figure out what I want to do with myself career wise.

I think I'm the odd one here, but I love my job and don't want to quit. For those of you who say that you dread going to work everyday, I think that is so sad. And you should definitely leave. IMO, if you're not happy with what you are doing professionally, then you won't be happy overall.
